Struggling to Find a Job After Engineering? Here’s the Solution!

A group of young engineers stood before me two days ago. All of them were preparing for the GATE exam, mainly to secure jobs in Public Sector companies. Some had attempted it once, while others had tried twice or thrice, but unfortunately, success had eluded them so far. Naturally, they appeared worried about their future, as their parents’ dreams were also at stake along with their own.

This group of five to six engineers had come to meet Mr. Dinesh Pathak, Director of the BTG Program and a career coach. Since he was not in the office, the team introduced them to me. They had heard about project management courses from their seniors.

As soon as they met me, they all asked the same question almost simultaneously:
“Even after studying for four years in college, we haven’t been able to get a job. We haven’t succeeded in the GATE exam either. So, what exactly do you teach in your six-month Project Management & Controls program that helps engineers secure jobs with a 100% job guarantee? And if this training program is so effective, why don’t colleges implement it?”

Now, it was my turn to respond. I said, *”This program is backed by my 30 years of global industrial experience. We have been running this training for the past 10 years. Nearly 300 engineers have shaped their careers through this training and are working across the globe. We continuously update our program according to industry requirements. Unfortunately, engineering colleges only teach theories based on academic requirements, which are generally not aligned with industry needs. That’s why we developed this course—BTG Programs: Bridging the Gaps.

We don’t need approval from anyone; we design our course modules based on industry demand. Remember, today’s organizations don’t have the patience to invest in training fresh graduates, especially when many leave for a few extra pennies offered by other companies. They need graduates who can deliver results from day one. Gone are the days when degrees alone ensured career development. Today’s world focuses on skills and role-oriented knowledge.”

“Protecon BTG has established credibility in the industry for quality skilling. The demand for our trained engineers is higher than the number of engineers we can supply. We, too, have limitations, and due to limited resources, we can conduct only two batches a year. For the first time, I openly told these young engineers that we had proposed integrating this course with B.Tech programs in several NCR colleges, but it couldn’t materialize.”

“That’s why we have now taken our training online. A course on ‘Planning to Billing’ is available online. Engineers already working in the industry can enhance their careers through this course and make lateral shifts in their career development, while fresh graduates can use it to understand the basics of project management and kick-start their careers. More specialized courses will be added gradually to enhance industry-relevant skills.”

I explained to them that the demand for project management professionals is not just in India but across the world. Engineers from various branches such as Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Chemical, as well as B.Arch graduates and experienced diploma holders, can also take this course.

Our next offline batch of Project Management & Controls with a 100% job guarantee is scheduled to start on July 21, 2025, and registrations are open.

These young engineers also had questions about the admission process. An interview is mandatory after registration, and those who clear it gain admission.

Their questions seemed endless, but overall, I thoroughly enjoyed interacting with these young engineers.
